The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.
Available only from the distillery, with no more than 2,000 bottles made available.
Comes with a beautifully illustrated hardback book which revisits The Macallan's original print, press & film advertising campaign 1980-1994.
The book contains a USB stick continuing the advertising archive.
43% ABV / 70cl
Please note there is an issue with the Folio packaging, where the retaining clips that hold the book in place have a tendency to break in transit. This is because some are made of fragile plastic, as opposed to the metal. Scotch Whisky Auctions cannot guarantee that these will arrive intact if shipped. The quality of the tin is extremely fragile and prone to denting.
Please note that this lot is a large item. Additional delivery charges may be payable
Please examine the images of the bottle, packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
