Lot number: 101-04368

Winning bid: £40

Formed after Fred and Stewart Laing parted ways in 2013, Hunter Laing is under ownership of the latter and his two sons. The company took over Edition Spirits and began releasing their First Editions series. Since the demerger, Hunter Laing claimed the following ranges: Old Malt Cask; Old and Rare Selection; and the Sovereign.

Hunter Laing released the Scarabus Islay single malt to mark Feis Ile 2019 and the opening of Ardnahoe distillery. Produced at an undisclosed distillery on the island, Scarabus is named after farmland in the north of Islay where there once stood a distillery called Scarabuss which operated very briefly from 1817 to 1818.

46% ABV / 70cl
