The Transcontinental Rum Line is a series from La Maison Du Whisky. Comprised of rums from different distilleries, that have been partially matured in their tropical homes before being shipped across the Atlantic Ocean for further maturation in Europe. While this may sound convoluted, it's actually very cost effective as it prevents the greedy tropical angels from getting quite such a monstrous share of the precious spirit.

The two casks used to create this expression from Demerara Distillers in Guyana were aged for less than a year in their native climate, before being shipped to Europe for 11 years of slightly less sweaty maturation.
