Winning bid: £35

Compass Box are the brilliant blending company that has brought us ''Spice Tree'', ''Peat Monster'' and "Hedonism" as part of their Signature Range. In their other series - the Limited Range - the like to produce unique releases with a bit of a twist such as "Circus"; a vatting of two blended malts, a blended grain and Benrinnes. Compass Box was founded by John Glaser and the company is known for its shenanigans and highly experimental whisky projects.

Couldn't better this description from Master of Malt: After releasing their Great King Street Artist's Blend in 2011, Compass Box have been looking to expand the famous street in the capital of Scotland.

To do this, they're experimenting with two new potential blends and letting the public decide what stays and what goes, just like The X Factor, if the singing was replaced with delicious whisky (which, in turn, would improve The X Factor incalculably).

Great King Street Experimental Batch TR-06 is packed with savoury fancies like seaweed, mint and salt spray. A limited release of 3805 bottles.

Bottled: 03.09.2013

43% ABV / 50cl

Bottle Number: 3622 / 3805
