When Raymond Armstrong stumbled across the decommissioned Bladnoch distillery in 1994 and eventually negotiated with Diageo, reconstructed the building, and began distilling again in 2000, he wanted to keep whisky fans up to date with progress at the distillery; and therefore, he set up the Bladnoch Distillery Forum. In 2005, Armstrong and his team started to bottle single cask whiskies - some of which were quite rare and limited editions - and offered them at extremely fair prices to members of the Bladnoch Forum.
