A distillery that was closed more than it was ever open - missing out on the high times of single malt whisky - Imperial produced whisky mainly for blending. However, the floral flavours of their whisky has grown in popularity in recent years and stock is starting to run low. While the buildings were demolished in 2013, the up-side is that they have made way for the new and rather stunning Dalmunach distillery so it's not all bad news.
This expression forms part of a six bottle collection from Allied Distillers, that also includes Glenburgie, Glencadam, Tormore, Glentauchers and Miltonduff.
The Allied Distillers bottle was the only official bottle produced by the Imperial Distillery.
