Lot number: 110-02862

Winning bid: £75

With its distinctive square bottle, its label angled precisely at 24° and the iconic Striding Man, Johnnie Walker is the world's best selling Scotch whisky retailing more than 20 million cases a year. It was first created in Kilmarnock in 1865 and is now available in almost every country in the world with the establishment of significant 'Houses' across Asia. Between 1906 & 1909 John Walker's grandsons introduced the colour names which the bottles still bear to this day with the Blue Label - introduced in 1992 - being the rarest.

The limited release marked 100 years since the rebranding of the whisky from Walker’s Kilmarnock Whiskies to Johnnie Walker Whisky, the creation of the slogan, “Born 1820 – Still going Strong!”, and the design of the Striding Man by cartoonist Tom Browne.

A special black coated bottle of JW Black featuring the Striding Man who first appeared in 1908.

40% ABV / 70cl
