Lot number: 110-05171

Winning bid: £90

The home of Monymusk is at the Clarendon Distillery in Jamaica and is a recent addition to the world of rum after being built in 1949. The ownership is made up of an experienced group with almost three-quarters being owned by NRJ - a partnership of the Jamaican government, Goaddard Enterprises (former owner of the West Indies Rum Distillery) and Demerara Distillers Limited from Guyana - and the rest owned by Diageo. The majority of its production goes towards Diageo's European version of the Captain Morgan blend so Monymusk is only a small proportion of the output.

A lot containing a bottle of Jamaican rum from Clarendon bottled by Plantation Rum from 29 casks. It has been tropically aged for 16 years and continentally aged for an extra year.
