Lot number: 122-00541

Winning bid: £4,000

We are happy to offer the opportunity to bid on a Single Bourbon Barrel of Tullibardine single malt whisky, that is currently held in bond at the distillery. The whisky in this cask turned 12 years old last month!

In 1949 William Delme Evans began work converting a brewery into what is now the Tullibardine distillery; and as the Gleneagles Brewery in Blackford had previously been brewing alcohol since 1488, it is one of the oldest sites in Scotland for distilling and brewing. After being silent from 1994 to 2003, Tullibardine is now owned by Picard Vins & Spiritueux, who bought it in 2011.

Distilled: 29.06.2009

Cask Type: Bourbon Barrel

Cask Number: 25

Original Bulk: 200 Litres

Re-gauged in April 2021:

New Bulk: 173.4 Litres / 55.4% ABV

Bulk Loss: 13.3%

Once the auction has concluded, the winner of this lot will have to complete all relevant transfer of ownership paperwork, and will be responsible for all costs relating to storage, removal from storage, bottling and duty/tax

The cask is currently held in bond by Tullibardine Distillery. The current storage fee, including insurance, is £31.20 per annum.

The buyer will be liable for any admin fees related to the change of ownership.

Please note if the new owner is a UK revenue trader (business), they will need to be registered with HMRC and hold a WOWGR certificate.

Revenue traders from outside the UK will require a Duty Representative in the UK (the Duty Rep would be registered with HMRC and there is usually an annual charge for their services).
