A blend of whiskies from Mackmyra's origianal still that was designed and built in house and their newer, slightly more hi-tech operation that came a couple of years later. This whisky sold out in a few hours when released in Sweden, extraordinarily rare stuff.
The First Few Drops is the initial variety in the Mackmyra Preludium range. It is a young, limited release from the very first distillations of Swedish malt whisky. It includes both the first casks from our pilot distillery (in operation 1999-2002) and the first casks from the current distillery (opened in October 2002). In other words, these are the very first drops of Swedish malt whisky.
