From Berry Bros & Rudd The birth of Blue Hanger 4th Limited Release follows hot on the steps of the great success of Blue Hanger 3rd Limited Release 30 year-old which won Best Blended Malt in this year's World Whiskies Awards we are delighted to announce. This 4th Limited Release differs from its predecessors in that a wider range of ages has been used. As with most winning teams there is a balance between the benefits of relative youth and the refinements that come with age.
The nose is oozing with heather-honey sweetness, ripe oranges and a hint of dark toffee. The palate offers luscious sweetness with wavering citrus and clean oak. The flavours build slowly and gently with a little black pepper eventually showing. The finish is ethereal, long and more-ish.
