This is the very first batch of delicious Isle of Arran single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It boasts a malt, almost coconut-like, coastal flavour and comes bearing a wonderful comic book-style label of a scene from the island.
The scene depicts the artist, Emily Chappell, and a friend of hers on an ill-fated kayaking expedition - shipwrecked on the island and desperately flagging down the Waverley cruise ship which goes from Glasgow to Arran. The eagle in the foreground is a reference to the nesting eagles which postponed the distillery's build in the 1990s!
