This is the first of the multi-vintage Karuizawas, with a mixture of whisky from 1981, 1981, 1983 and 1984. Selected bourbon and sherry casks have been married together to create something rather special.
The bottle was chosen as part of a series by French importer Le Mason Du Whisky who released a number of single vintage Karuizawa as well as this multi-vintage bottling. Taking their inspiration from Frapin, a small family owned Cognac producer, who produce multi-vintage cognacs as a way creating a standard cognac without the paperwork of single vintages. This is a similar idea for the Noh range of Karuizawa.
As ever with the Karuizawa whiskies, this is very limited release and now very hard to get hold of.
