This is an empty bottle and was used to fill the world record bottle.
"The Famous Grouse unveiled a 228 litre bottle of its blended whisky – the largest bottle of whisky in the world. Scotland’s favourite whisky was awarded the Guinness World Record by an official adjudicator in front of fans at the brand’s birthday celebrations last year (Sunday 12th August) – having exceeded its target of 200 litre.
The bottle stands five feet five inches tall and holds the equivalent of 9,120 drams of whisky. It took three hours to fill the enormous bottle with help from a number of VIP guests. One of them was the vendor, The Whisky Boys' Jim Coleman, pictured emptying his bottle.
The big bottle now sits on permanent display at The Famous Grouse Experience for visitors taking a tour at the distillery to see."
