A gorgeous creation from Balcones in Waco, Texas. They make their True Blue corn whisky using blue corn, which makes a mighty fine tortilla chip and (so it seems) a mighty fine whisky too! It's unique and also pretty dangerous, The risk is worth it, however, as True Blue is a true blue winner.
True Blue is a corn whisky made with blue corn. The clever folks at Balcones over in Waco, Texas took the corn which is probably better known for making delicious tortilla chips (yes really) and made a really delicious whisky instead. We're also informed that blue corn is pretty dangerous as it contains a high oil content, which when mixed with heat from distillation can become somewhat... Flammable. Best drink it with caution!
