Lot number: 400588
Winning bid: £75
This lot contains two bottles of wine from Margaux presented in a wooden case.
Chateau d'Angludet 1998
Frequently praised by Robert Parker, who says that "it is irrefutable that the wine made at d'Angludet frequently surpasses some of its more illustrious siblings in the Margaux appellation. He awarded this vintage 89 points, describing it as "seductive, elegant sweet red and black currant notes intertwined with floral notes characterise the stylish, restrained fruity wine".
Chateau Rausan-Segla Margaux 1998
Similarly, the Chateau Rausan-Segla was awarded 89 points by Parker, and awarded it the house with the most ageing potential in his book, "Bordeaux: a consumer's guide to the world's finest wines". A blend of 65% Cabernet sauvignon and 35% Merlot, this classicly austerely styled Margaux exhibits true class.
Please note there there is some minor damage to the corner of the case. See photos for detail.
