Connoisseurs Choice is one of the most easily recognised ranges from the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. This range was launched back in the 1960s, a period where most malts were used in blends, so it was quite an unusual move for the company. However, the range has proved to be a hit for over 35 years.
Glenugie was the most Easterly distillery in Scotland until its closure in 1983. The distillery changed hands numerous times during its lifetime and the vast majority of its output was used in blends with very little bottled as a single malt.
