Nikka Hakata

Masataka Taketsuru is known as grand father of the Japanese whisky industry. He travelled to Scotland to study Organic Chemistry at University of Glasgow during the summers. Later started working in Hazelburn before it was absorbed by Springbank. Coming back to Japan he helped to establish the first Japanese Whisky Distillery.

This is a vatting of Yoichi and Miyagikyo single malts and has been described as the best kept secret in Japanese whisky. It was sold exclusively in Kyushu area
