A very rare blended whisky produced by MacDonald Greenlees, using whiskies from only the following distilleries; Glendullan-Glenlivet, Stronachie, Auchinblae & Argyll. Auchinblae distillery, formerly located in Kincardineshire, closed in 1929. Although it has since been converted into houses, the old Pagoda was renewed in the autumn of 2003, thus maintaining a connection to its noteworthy past. The Argyll distillery was also closed around this time, although a little earlier in 1923. The fate of the building is a little less poetic, as it has since become a petrol station.
Containing whisky dating back to 1923, this is a truly magnificent opportunity to obtain a phenomenal example of scotch whisky history.
The lot also includes a print of an old Sandy MacDonald advert.
