One of the several bottles entered to raise money for one of the mashmen at Glenfarclas who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. His dream was always to cycle across the USA so all of the staff have banded together to help raise money to send him across to America for a dream holiday. This, along with many of the other bottles, were collected by the man himself as he cycled to each of the distilleries he's worked at on a specially adapted tricycle.

Still in family hands since it was founded, the Glenfarclas Distillery is one of Speyside's independent whisky producers. The Grant family have been running Glenfarclas since 1860, producing an individual Speyside malt that many whisky enthusiasts number as one of their favourites. The water source is melt water from the slopes of Ben Rinnes which runs through granite and heather before reaching Glenfarclas (meaning 'the valley of green grass'). With a long history of bottlings stretching back to the early 20th Century, both proprietary and independent.

A beautiful, sherried Speyside malt, Glenfarclas launched this to mark their 175th Anniversary. It was made by blending together four lovely sherry casks with a combined age of 175 years! There are just 1296 bottles, and this special Chairman's Reserve edition comes packaged in a gift box with a branded Glencairn glass, and a handsome water jug.
