Black Velvet:

Produced by Schenley Industries and originally known as "Black Label", the name of this Canadian Rye was changed to "Black Velvet" in the 1940s to reflect it's velvety smoothness. Around the same time, it was apparently the only liquor available to submarine officers stationed at Midway during the second world war, where it was held in poor regard and known as Schenley's Black Death.

Distilled: 1973

43% ABV / 1L

Please note condition of tube and sticker mark on bottle.

V.O:

The V.O. here stands for 'Very Own' as this was originally solely for the Seagram's family.

Bottled: 1972

Age: 6 years old

43% ABV / 1L

Please note damage to label.

Please examine the images of the bottle, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
