Dalmore King Alexander III & Dalmore Plinth
Lot number: 0585000
Winning bid: £100
Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production center by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy left the distillery was left in tatters and after a long compensation battle, involving the House of Lords, the distillery was brought back online. Now Dalmore, under the stewardship of Richard Patterson, presents itself as a luxury brand, with some of their bottlings among the most expensive in the world.
Blending maestro Richard Paterson has selected a range of different casks: French wine casks, Madeira drums, Sherry butts, Marsala barrels, Port pipes and Bourbon barrels from Kentucky. Phew! Quite some list, but it comes together to create a very classy dram indeed.
This bottle is accompanied by a Dalmore branded bottle plinth.
40% ABV / 70cl
