The oldest distillery on Islay, Bowmore has been described as the Grande Dame of the island. It still has it's own floor maltings which make up about 30% of their requirements. Their No. 1 vaults are the oldest maturation warehouse in Scotland and the only one below sea level.
This Bowmore vintage edition has been fully matured in a port cask. This was distilled in the year that Suntory first bought a stake in Morrison Bowmore distillers.
