Tomatin 1999 14 Year Old Hungarian Oak Finish

A bit of an oddity of a whisky from Tomatin, bottled for Royal Mile Whiskies. Having spent most of its time in a second fill hogshead, it was then finished for two years in a Hungarian oak barrel which had previously held red wine... in addition the barrel was charred, resulting in a whisky that is brimming over with an intriguing complexity.
