Tequila Somonque gets it name from the Spanish word "Somonque" which means 'heart of the Agave'.
A 100% Agave tequila, Somonque is produced by natural methods, without additions of chemicals or colours. The Hernandez family reserves the finest Agaves for this Tequila, which is triple-distilled.
The spirit is aged in Oak Barrels for 2 years, a fact that gives it the distinct caramel taste and colour (without any caramel additions of course). A hint of lemon is revealed on the nose and the sweet, earthy undertones of the Agave are apparent in the taste, which is so smooth, that it can be enjoyed neat, just like a good single malt Whisky.
