Glenugie 1970 G&M

Founded in 1895 Gordon & MacPhail have been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950s they held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. This family run business have bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world as well as being distillers themselves after buying Benromach in 1993.

Glenugie was the most Easterly distillery in Scotland until its closure in 1983. The distillery changed hands numerous times during its lifetime and the vast majority of its output was used in blends with very little bottled as a single malt.
