Old Pulteney 12 Year Old

The Pulteney distillery was built the best part of two centuries ago, and at the time was virtually inaccessible by land (the barley needed for production was shipped in by sea). Indeed, the maritime environment has a subtle influence on the flavour of the aged spirit. It boasts the only commercial pot still in Scotland without a "swan neck", and ages the vast majority of its distillate in American White Oak casks.

The well regarded 12 Year Old, whose salted caramel flavour profile makes it incredibly more-ish!

Glenmorangie 10 Year Old

One of the world's best selling old single malts Glemorangie's spirit flows from Scotland's tallest stills, over 16 feet tall for those that are counting. Over the years Bill Lumsden has been at the forefront of research into the influence of the cask on whisky and as such Glenmorangie are the leading exponents of whisky 'finishes', be that sherry, wine or virgin oak. The distillery selects its wood from the Mark Twain forest in the Ozark mountains and ensures that the wood is air dried rather than kilned.

The real backbone of the Glenmorangie range. This world wide favourite old single malt flows from Scotland's tallest stills.
