Southern Comfort Minis 2 x 5cl in Tin
Lot number: 066-0837
Winning bid: £10
Originally created in New Orleans in 1874 by bartender Martin Wilkes Heron. Over the years Southern Comfort aka "SoCo" has expanded hugely and now has several product offerings around the globe.
Since the 1930's the label has depicted "A Home on the Mississippi", a rendering by Alfred Waudd of the "Woodland Plantation". The house on the label is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and currently provides Bed and Breakfast accomodation.
In 2010, Southern Comfort was rebranded and the plantation artwork was dropped from the label.
This is an older bottling of "SoCo".
