Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distills, matures and bottles its whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms. Since its renaissance in 2001 its range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. It is a pioneer of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

This whisky was distilled from barley grown at Claggan, Cruach, Island and Mulindry farms all of which are on the island of Islay.
