Inchgower 2000 15 Year Old OMC
Lot number: 067-3029
Winning bid: £60
From Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask range. This range is bottled at a preferred strength of 50%, known as "golden strength", as it is believed this strength allows the drinker to experience the malt in its full and redolent glory.
Inchgower has produced steadily and consistently for over 70 years and in this time the vast majority of the whisky produced has been used for the Bell's blend. Purchased from Buckie town council by Arthur Bell & Sons, who in turn had purchased the distillery from the bankrupt Alexander Wilson & Co., only 1% of the distillery's output is bottled as a single malt.
