Bottled by the The Border Brewery Ltd of Berwick on Tweed, who were also wine and spirit merchants, this bottles title says that it is a blend but then says that it contains "Fine Malt Whisky". This may suggest that this is an early example of a blended malt.
The bottlers were registered as a limited liability company in July 1899 and changed their name to Berwick Brewries Ltd in 1925 after a merger with Johnson & Darling Ltd.
A company letter from 1909 features the trade mark that can be seen on the side of the bottle.
Sealed with a driven cork and molded from the three glass pieces the bottle is consistant with those used in the early decades of the 20th century.
Please note the fill level in this lot and that there is no information as to alcoholic strength or bottle size.
Please examine the images of the bottle, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
