The Rare Malts are a series of Diageo cask-strength releases, designed to show off some of the lesser known whiskies in its empire. Now discontinued they are much sought after by collectors. All bottlings are cask strength, and un-chill filtered.
Inchgower has produced steadily and consistently for over 70 years and in this time the vast majority of the whisky produced has been used for the Bell's blend.
Purchased from Buckie town council by Arthur Bell & Sons, who in turn had purchased the distillery from the bankrupt Alexander Wilson & Co., only 1% of the distillery's output is bottled as a single malt.
