The largest distillery on Islay, Caol Ila sits on the Sound of Islay overlooking the picturesque island of Jura. Most of Caol Ila ends up in blends, but they also produce a wide variety of peated and un-peated single malt expressions.
This year for the festival Caol Ila gave us an amazing triple matured dram. We think Diageo has theme here, with both Caol Ila and Lagavulin being triple matured.
