In 1869 the Ripy brothers opened their distillery on Wild Turkey Hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Wild Turkey Bourbon got its name in 1940 when distillery executive Thomas McCarthy took samples of the bourbon on a wild turkey hunting trip.

Wild Turkey 8 Year Old has an exceptionally soft but rich aroma for a high proof bourbon due to ageing for 8 years.

This 1970's bottling was for the Japanese market and comes with the unusual offering of a turkey feather.
