Lot number: 069-3692

Winning bid: £80

Talisker was founded by two brothers, Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill in 1830 and until 1928 practised triple distillation. The distillery was rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in November 1960 including commissioning identical stills to those that had been destroyed in the fire. In 1998 it was part of Diageo's Classic Malts original line up and in 2014 it became the 10th best selling single malt in the world.

A distillery-bottled cask strength Talisker, 57° North is deceptively smooth for a whisky at this strength. Picked up the top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010.

This thermos style tube is designed for holding a bottle of whisky and comes with two steel cups for drinking while roaming through the wilds.

57% ABV / 70cl
