One of the most visited distilleries in Scotland, Blair Athol is the spiritual home of Bell's blended whisky. Built in 1798, at that time is was called Aldour after its water source, the distillery was mothballed for 17 years before production was restarted 1949.
Founded by Andrew Dewar Rattray in 1868, A. D. Rattray began trading as an importer of French wines, Italian spirits and olive oil. Today the company’s principal purpose is to promote the Stronachie, Cask Islay and Bank Note brands and bottle unusual and exclusive casks of Scotch whisky as part of the A D Rattray Cask Collection range.
