Scapa was founded in 1885 and the majority of its production goes into blends including Ballantine's. Often described as the 'other Orkney whisky', Scapa is one of the last distilleries using a Lomond still. This one has had the rectifier plates removed to produce a classic pot still style of spirit.
This is a belter of a malt from a distillery frequently overlooked in favour of its more famous Orcadian neighbour, Highland Park. Well-presented and bottled at natural cask strength for added oomph.
Distilled: 1980
Age: 25 years old
54% ABV / 70cl
Bottle Number: 152 / 2000
