Built in 1819 as the Clynelish distillery, Brora has gained a huge following especially for its whisky produced between 1969 - 1973, when the spirit was heavily peated. Closed in 1983, the buildings and equipment remain intact should this much-loved distillery wish to return to the land of the living.
Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950s it held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. This family-run business has bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world as well as being a distiller itself after buying Benromach in 1993.
This Brora has been bottled as part of its Rare Old range.
