Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distill, mature and bottle their whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms. Since their renaissance in 2001 their range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. They are pioneers of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

Made with barley from Kentraw Farm Foreland, the first Islay farm to grow barley for Bruichladdich. This is the first Islay-grown whisky to be distilled in recent times.
