Dipping Dogs were once used by distillery workers to “liberate” whisky from casks in the warehouse. Made from copper tubing and tied to the belt, it was stored down the worker’s trouser leg. The dog was then dipped into casks and filled with whisky when the Exciseman’s back was turned.
Please note there is no stopper.
