Lot number: 073-4946
Winning bid: £175
Described as a "grievous loss" by Micheal Jackson, the triple-distilled Rosebank is regarded by many as the best of the Lowland single malts. Closed in 1993, its site on the Forth & Clyde canal and relatively low production levels meant that it did not compare favourably with the much larger and picturesque Glenkinchie.
From Gordon and MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range.
Distilled: March 1991
Bottled: April 2007
Cask type: Refill Sherry Hogsheads
40% ABV / 70cl
