Winning bid: £45

Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years.

Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distills, matures and bottles its whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms.

Since its renaissance in 2001 its range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. It is a pioneer of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

This Travel Retail Exclusive was an attempt to recreate the Victorian era's relationship between the distiller and the farmer.

Bruichladdich created a whisky exclusively from organic Scottish barley (hence the name) with barley from farms owned by organic farmers, Sir William Roberts of Mains of Tullibardine, William Rose at Mid Coull and Neil Scobie at Coulmore.

50% ABV / 1L
