Macallan 12 Year Old Mini 5cl x 2 & Macallan 12 Year Old Fine Oak Mini 5cl

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.

No longer available in the UK, except at auction houses, obviously! This 12 year old was a late addition to the Macallan family before the age statement range was discontinued in 2013.

12 years old Fine Oak

First introduced in 2004, the Fine Oak range was a milestone for Macallan, as it was the first expression released by the distillery that was not solely matured in Sherry casks. The range was met with an initial scepticism from Macallan fans, but over the years it has won over many doubters. Now harder to find, as it has been discontinued in some markets to make way for the non-age-statement "colour" series.
