Compass Box are the brilliant blending company that has brought us both ''Spice Tree'' and ''Peat Monster''. Known for its shenanigans and highly experimental whisky projects.
Primary maturation in a mix of first-fill and refill American oak. Secondary maturation in new-headed casks made of heavy-toasted new French oak from 195 year old Vosges forests. The whisky itself is a blend of malts, which compass box describe as being " Dailuaine, Teaninich and two other malt whiskies distilled in the villages of Brora and Longmorn".
This is a special edition bottling for Whisky Live Paris 2009.
