Simonds Blended Fine Old Scotch Whisky

This old blend is a bit of an oddity. While it's constituent parts hail from bonny Scotland, it has been bonded, blended & bottled in Reading by H&G Simonds Ltd. Primarily a brewing company, H&G Simonds (named after founder William's two sons Henry and George) was founded in 1785, and operated up until the 1960s where it was amalgamated with another brewing company.

This blended whisky would have been created for sale in one of the off licences associated with the brewery. Based on a quick calculation from the label's claim of being "Established over 175 years", we'd guess this is a very early 1960s bottle.

No stated ABV or bottle size, but approximately 70cl
