Situated at the base of, and named after Britain's tallest mountain, Ben Nevis was founded by 'Long' John McDonald.
The distillery is owned by Nikka and one third of the new make is shipped directly to Japan for use predominantly in Nikka Black.
This single malt was first filled into refill hogsheads on the 9th of November 1990. It was then transferred to a port bodega butt on the 12th of February 2003.
