The Transcontinental Rum Line is a series from La Maison Du Whisky. Comprised of rums from different distilleries, that have been partially matured in their tropical homes before being shipped across the Atlantic Ocean for further maturation in Europe. While this may sound convoluted, it's actually very cost effective as it prevents the greedy tropical angels from getting quite such a monstrous share of the precious spirit.
This is the first Fijian rum to join the Transcontinental lineup. Matured for just one year in Fiji, it was then shipped to Europe to slumber for a further 7 years in the cooler climate, before being bottled in 2017.
