Macallan 10 Year Old Fine Oak - First 100 Bottles - Number 1

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.

First introduced in 2004, the Fine Oak range was a milestone for Macallan, as it was the first expression released by the distillery that was not solely matured in Sherry casks. The range was met with an initial scepticism from Macallan fans, but over the years it has won over many doubters.

This is the first bottling of the now iconic Macallan 10 year old Fine Oak, signed by Bob Dalgarno, Macallan whisky maker. This is a true piece of Scotch whisky history.
