Chichibu The Floor Malted 2015 Release 75cl

Founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto, and operational from 2008, it was the first new Japanese distillery since 1973.

The second full release from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery is The Floor Malted, distilled in 2009 from barley malted to Akuto-san's specifications during a trip to Scotland to learn the art of floor-malting for himself.

The whisky was matured in mostly bourbon casks with a few 'chibidaru' quarter casks in the mix as well.
