The Ladyburn Distillery was built in 1966 in the south west of Ayrshire by William Grant & Sons Ltd. Strictly speaking the four stills were built inside the the Girvan grain distillery. The final production took place on November 15, 1975. There have been a very limited number of offical and independent releases, it occassionally goes by the names Rare Ayrshire or Ayrshire.
